At Central Rivers Construction, we are committed to providing exceptional kitchen planning and remodeling services. This Refund Policy outlines our refund, cancellation, and dispute resolution procedures to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction.
Kitchen Planning Services
Free Consultation
Our initial consultation and estimate are provided free of charge. There are no fees to cancel or modify your plans after the consultation.
Detailed Planning Package
For our detailed kitchen planning services ($2,500), the following applies:
- Full refund: Available within 48 hours of payment, provided no design work has commenced
- Partial refund (50%): Available within 5 business days of payment
- No refund: After design work has begun, as time and resources have been invested
Remodeling and Installation Services
Deposit Payments
For kitchen remodeling and cabinet installation projects, a 30% deposit is required to secure your project date:
- Cancellation within 7 days: Full deposit refund
- Cancellation 8-30 days before start: 50% deposit refund
- Cancellation less than 8 days before start: No deposit refund (materials and scheduling already arranged)
Change Orders
Changes to approved plans or materials during project execution may incur additional fees. These fees are non-refundable as they represent actual costs incurred.
Quality Assurance and Dispute Resolution
Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our workmanship:
- Notify us in writing within 30 days of project completion
- We will inspect the work and provide a written assessment within 7 business days
- We will correct any legitimate quality issues at no additional cost
Dispute Resolution
In the unlikely event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through our standard procedures:
- Mediation will be attempted before any legal action
- Both parties agree to mediate in Madison County, Illinois
- Each party bears their own mediation costs
Non-Refundable Items
The following items and services are non-refundable due to their nature:
- Custom-ordered materials (countertops, cabinets, fixtures)
- Permits and inspection fees paid to local authorities
- Third-party services (plumbing, electrical subcontractors)
- Site preparation and demolition work
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed according to the following timeline:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
- Check refunds: Mailed within 15 business days
- Bank transfer refunds: 7-14 business days
Force Majeure
In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemic restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control), we will work with you to reschedule or provide appropriate credits/refunds on a case-by-case basis.
